Docusign acquires Suplari, the AI spending startup Microsoft spun out
A rare second exit: AI startup Suplari acquired by Docusign nearly 3 years after Microsoft spinout
Docusign has acquired Suplari, an AI-powered spending analysis company that Microsoft bought in 2021 and spun back out to its founders in late 2023. Docusign plans to combine Suplari's supplier and spending analysis with its Iris AI engine inside its contract management platform. Terms were not disclosed; Suplari has about two dozen employees and customers including BT Group, Nordstrom and MediaNews Group.
Suplari's second exit shows how a Microsoft spinout rebuilt itself around AI agents and landed inside Docusign's contract platform, a concrete case of enterprise AI consolidation.
